B39: BG Omniscorecard and Punctuation. Also Penalty Codes

The BG App automatically produces a dynamic interpretation of Gross scores and Net scores, when a single figure is inputted and verified by Secondary and Self-Markers, using the following punctuation:

No Punctuation:  e.g. for an outright Gross score win equating to a Net Par (on the last Hole) or Net Birdie or Net Eagle on any Hole

e.g. scores such as  6 or  5 4  or  4 3  or  3 / or / or  4 4

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Also No Punctuation: e.g. for a two-way Net Par tie on Holes 1 to 17

6 5  &  5 / 5  or  4 3  &  3 / or  5 / 4  &  4

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Parentheses: e.g. to show superseded (trumped) scores, both Gross and Net scores.

e.g. scores such as (6/ (5)  or  (5/ (4)  or  (4)/ (3)  or  (3)/(3)  or (5)/ (5)   or  (4)/ (4)  or  (2)/ (2)  or  (5)/ (3)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Square Brackets: e.g. to show Gross penalty scores, that are inappropriately large.

e.g. scores such as [6] / or  [5] / P  or  [4]/ or  [3]/ P

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Period (Full Stop): e.g. to show a curtailed score, either a legitimately or an illegitimately curtailed Gross score, and either a null (BLANK) score or a Penalty score, or P18

e.g. scores such as 3. /    or  4. /   or  5. /    are legitimately curtailed scores,

whereas scores such as [3.] / P   or   [4.] /   or  [5.] / P  or, exclusively on the last Hole,  [3.] / P18   or   [4.] / P18   or  [5.] / P18  are illegitimately curtailed scores.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In addition to use of punctuation just two codes are used to signify a Net score Penalty, namely P and P18

P => @Two-off-the-next-tee after the conclusion of Holes 1 to 17

P18 => @ineligibility-Penalty on the last Hole, usually the 18th. This is a disqualification from possibly benefitting from a Net Bogey tie on the last Hole

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The same punctuation and Penalty codes are used on a two-sided cardboard BG scorecard, on the Omniscorecard side.
