B53: Revised Omniscorecard: 4th July’19
The new Omniscorecard is a primary record of all gross scores on each hole, for a BriskerGolf group.
At the end of each hole, a calculation is made of the significant net score or scores at a hole, and the coin scoring at the hole, either automatically, by the BG App, or intellectually, by a marker with a physical Omniscorecard and pencil.
The results at the end of a hole may vary considerably, because it is likely that several holes in succession will be tied, at some point in the round. Thus the scores may be – , 1, 2, 3, or more at a hole, with – (dash) being the most likely score at a hole.

Five distinct punctuation marks ” ( ) [ ] . ” are used to describe the following:
1. concluded but superseded scores, in parentheses, e.g. (4)/(3), (5)/(5), (6)/(5)
2. concluded but illegal scores (that are over net par), e.g. [4]/P, [5]/P, [6]/P18, and [5]/P18
3. curtailed but legal scores (that are net par or conceivably better than net par on occasion), e.g. 3./ , 4./ , 5./ (Note that there is no net score recorded with a legally curtailed score. This implies that the score is a Given-Net-Bogey)
4. curtailed but illegal scores (that are scores that cannot possibly make a significant difference to the contest for a hole ), e.g. [3.]/P , [4.]/P , [5.]/P
———————————————————————–
No punctuation marks are used to describe:
5. conclusive and legal scores that are winning scores e.g. 3/3 , 4/4, 5/4, 3/2, 4/3, 5/5
6. conclusive and legal scores that are tieing scores e.g. 3/3 tied with 4/3 , 4/4 tied with 5/4, 3/2 tied with 3/2, 4/3 tied with 4/3

The BriskerGolf rules that apply to tied holes are as follows:
////////////////////////////////////
All No-Net-Pars, All Tie1*
[1* except on the last Hole, where the rule becomes:
All No-Net-Pars, All Non-Penalty Shots Tie
There is a last Hole tiebreaker from which illegal scorers of P18 Penalties are excluded.
The winner of this tiebreaker is determined by Countback to the last Hole won outright by a qualifying BriskerGolfer, who is awarded the Coin for the 18th Hole, and potentially a Coin Bonanza of any other yet-to-be-won-Holes.]
////////////////////////////////////
Two Leading Net-Pars, All Tie1*
[1* except on the last Hole, where the rule becomes:
The ULTIMATE Leading Net-Par wins!]
This implies that any number of Leading Net-Par scores may be recorded on the last Hole, but only the Last Leading Net-Par score (the Ultimate Leading Net-Par) is significant as a win.
The other scores are deemed to be superseded (trumped) by the Ultimate Leading Net-Par score, and are termed ghost ties2*
[2* imaginary ties]
////////////////////////////////////
At any Hole, The ULTIMATE Leading Net-Sub-Par score wins!
This implies that any number of Leading Net-Sub-Par scores (e.g. birdies) may be recorded on a Hole, but only the Last Leading Net-Sub-Par score (the Ultimate Leading Net-Sub-Par) is significant as a win.
The other scores are deemed to be superseded (trumped) by the Ultimate Leading Net-Sub-Par score, and are termed ghost ties2*
[2* imaginary ties]
This rule applies equally to any number of Leading Net-Sub-Par eagle scores
////////////////////////////////////
Thus the last Hole of a BriskerGolf competition will always be resolved in favour of just one BriskerGolfer, whatever the Leading Net Score is.
And any sub-Net-Par score at a Hole guarantees that the Hole will be won outright.
////////////////////////////////////
Coins are the measure of a BriskerGolfer’s match playing skill. The contest of BriskerGolf is similar to Skins. The object is to win as many coins outright as possible during a round. The person that accumulates the most coins during an 18 hole round (and therefore an 18 coin round) is the winner of his/her BriskerGolf group.
