B26: BriskerGolfScorecard & Positional Points (pp): Royal Dornoch, Card 3 of 4

Above is an example of a third completed BriskerGolf.am scorecard.

On completion of this BriskerGolf round, the coins that competitors have accrued cumulatively over this third round are translated and simplified into positional points (pp), and recorded as follows:

  • 1 pp First Position (Winner, or possibly Joint Winner!)
  • 2 pp Second Position (or possibly Joint Second Position)
  • 3 pp Third Position (or possibly Joint Third Position)
  • 4 pp Fourth Position (or possibly Joint Fourth Position)
  • 5 pp Fifth Position

Note that in the event of a pp tie the consecutive position will not be the ordinal number immediately follow the previous one, held by two or more Briskergolfer.

Again, the pp gained by a BriskerGolfer at the conclusion of round 3 refers to his/her relative position within his/her group, on completion of a single round, namely round 3, on Day 3, and not the actual coins scored in the round.

Combining Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 pp scores gives a ‘Cumulative Total pp‘ score, for each BriskerGolfer.

Note that in the example above, the lowest possible Cumulative Total for a single BriskerGolfer, after three BriskerGolf rounds, is 3 pp, whereas the highest possible Cumulative Total for a single BriskerGolfer, after three BriskerGolf rounds, is 15 pp.

In BriskerGolf Scorecard 3 of 4, above, there are no pp ties on this particular Day 3 round of five BriskerGolfers. Each BriskerGolfer earns between 1 pp and 5 pp in Day 3’s competition.

The Cumulative Total of pp scores shows an almost perfect score of 4 pp, as well as an impressive score of 6 pp

There are also two BriskerGolfers tied with Cumulative scores of 11 pp, each shown as 11= (Players A and M).

The  BG App is always able to differentiate between two or more tied pp scores by using countback to the last person to win a Hole outright in one of Day 3’s competitions, and similarly countback to the second-last person to win a Hole outright, and so on, if necessary referring to results in Day 2’s competitions, and even Day 1’s competitions!

Thus the final column entitled ‘Overall Position using Countback‘ shows the pp order of each player in the BriskerGolf competition as a whole, in real time, in effect as a snapshot of the five BriskerGolfer’s results at the end of their third round game (of four rounds).

Note that the seeding for each Day 4 group will be calculated similarly using Countbackto the last person to win a Hole outright in one of Day 3’s competitions, or for those who were the next-to-last person to win a Hole outright, and so on.
